Food Security

From our earliest work in drought-stricken Sahelian West Africa to today's agricultural development programs in some two dozen countries continent-wide, Africare has made enormous contributions toward the end of African hunger. Millions of vegetable and fruit growers, rice farmers, fishermen, cattle herders, poultry producers, beekeepers and other African agriculturalists have received effective development assistance ― and have gone on to boost food supplies locally, regionally and sometimes on the national scale.
